The seller agrees:
This puppy is in good health at the time of sale. The buyer will have 72 hours in which to have the puppy examined by their own veterinarian. During that time, the puppy may be returned for any reason to Jocose Keeshonden for a full refund, provided the puppy is returned in the same condition as on the date of sale. If the puppy is returned due to illness, a letter from the veterinarian stating diagnosis is required. This includes death or illness from any health condition deemed to be present prior to removal of the puppy from Seller’s premises. Buyer shall assume any expenses associated with returning this puppy to the Seller.
If, at any time during the life of the puppy the buyer can not keep it, the buyer agrees to notify Jocose Keeshonden, and unless the buyer has made arrangements, acceptable to the seller and agreed to in writing, for the future of this puppy (it is not to be resold) it must be returned to Jocose Keeshonden, however there will be no refund or replacement made, other than that stated above.
This puppy is represented as companion (or pet) quality and is therefore being sold with an AKC limited registration, and a spay neuter agreement outlined in this document.
Every reasonable precaution has been taken to prevent this puppy from acquiring hereditary hip dysplasia, cataracts or thyroid conditions. Due to the unknown hereditary and environmental causes of such defects, no guarantee will be given against them. Included in sale of this puppy are copies of all genetic testing done on Sire and Dam prior to breeding, which includes: Tyroid tests, Hip Exrays (OFA), Stifles examined "clear" by a veterinarian, and eye exams (CERF).
Buyer agrees:
That adequate and proper shelter will be given to this puppy and it will be housed securely. This dog shall not be neglected, allowed to roam free, or be mistreated in any manner. This puppy will not be tied or chained to a stationary object such as a tree or post.
The puppy shall receive proper veterinary care throughout its lifetime, annual inoculations and placed on heartworm preventative. The puppy shall receive proper nutrition and care.
Buyer agrees that this puppy will not be bred and therefore agrees to have this puppy Spayed/Neutered by the age of six months and will receive AKC registration papers for this puppy when proof of spay/neuter has been provided to the Seller.
The buyer will notify the Seller of any change of address or telephone number and will maintain contact with the Seller throughout the lifetime of this dog.
The buyer will register the puppy with the AKC prior to 1 year of age with the prefix Jocose to appear first in the name.
No guarantees or warranties, expressed of implied, are given by Jocose Keeshonden and Maureen Garappolo, the seller except those stated herein.
The Seller warrants and agrees that she is the lawful owner of this puppy and is alone responsible for entering into this contract with the Buyer. The co-breeder of this litter is in no way responsible for the commitment set forth herein.
Buyer agrees to pay (five) times the purchase price, or $4,000.00 dollars in damages, whichever is greater, to the seller if a breach of this agreement should occur. Buyer must initial and /or sign both copies of this agreement, as an indication that he/she has read and understands the terms of this agreement.
