d20 Modern builds
Here's a compilation of some of genre builds I've created over time.
- Chuck Norris
- Ghost Rider/Johnny Blaze
- The Fantastic Four
- Spider-Man
- Wolverine
- The Xenomorph (from Alien)
Star Wars RPG
This is actually not my personal project but one I have contributed a lot to. You can find the developement thread here.
A d20 version for Star Wars already exists, based on D&D 3.0, and the superiror revision is here. This project, however, is to create a version based on d20 Modern rules which we believed to be better suited at the time. This project is nearing completion, but moves slowly due to the lead authors' schedule.
I've decided to make the HTML version of this project publicly available here.
Wheel of Time RPG
updating the RPG, originally based on D&D 3.0 to the d20 system from the new Star Wars Saga RPG.
The entire project is on hold pending a re-read of the series. After the original RPG was developed, there was a huge amount of material written which can be used to improve the work.
I've recently located the web enhancement for WoT RPG. I've made it available for download as Wizards no longer has the right to distribute it.
D20 Modern SRD
In order to facilitate DMing and other projects, I've begun to convert the Modern SRD material into a web-site. The current version can be found here.
Gundam CCG
A young friend of mine wanted help creating a card game based on Gundam. We have the basic rules done and a very good framework for building units. The goal is to capture/destroy the enemy base which is at the opposite end of 5-7 locations. I'm very happy with some of the things we came up with. I'm waiting on him to draw up some cards because I'm not that familiar with the series.
Kung Fu! CCG
Kung Fu is a card game meant for two players. I wanted to make something that was fast and really captured the flow of combat you see in the cinema. I also wanted the game to be customisable, but not collectable. Too many good games are ruined when developers push a franchise and the mechanics too far in a never-ending spiral of more powerful cards and strategies.
Kung Fu is actually ready to be play-tested. The basic rules are concise and the basic card set is sufficient to test the underlying game concepts. If you are interested in testing the game, contact me.
Sun Tzu CCG
I am trying to develop a card game based heavily on The Art of War. The concept has led me to something with a little bit of a board game aspect, like Decipher's Star Wars CCG or the old Tomb Raider CCG. There will be Locations representing terrain, Units which may be upgraded, moved and killed, and action cards based on strategies from the book.
I've started Sun Tzu from scratch 2-3 times. Each time I've simplified the game play and it's getting to a point where I need to do a rules re-write for clarity and start on a card list. I still consider this to be pre-alpha.
